Thanks for reaching out, I recognized your Cody character in your icon immediately. I unfortunately will not be at Heroes con. As of right now I’m not planning on tabling at any cons this year. As you know, tabling is a big undertaking and because I work so slowly and around a day job- I’ve only just finished the first chapter of Charlie Ironpaw- I don’t have a whole lot of time to create new material to put out there. Making more specifically for cons would take time away from the book and I don’t plan on self publishing the first chapter as a stand-alone.
My plan right now is to take Chapter one, and submit it to a few publishing companies, fully expecting rejections but hey, you never know. While waiting for their responses or their stated time of return for responses to expire, I’m going to continue to work away on chapter 2. Once chapter two is finished and assuming I’ve been rejected by the publishing companies, my plan is to submit the first chapter to comixology submit, while simultaneously releasing it a page a week online hoping to gain a larger audience. I’ll continue to post a page a week through chapter 3, as well as put each chapters up on comixology. Hopefully putting up the first three chapters online will gain enough of an audience that I can launch a kickstarter for the first book. A page a week through the first three chapters should leave nearly enough time for me to complete the rest of the book.
With that timeline, I plan on exhibiting at Baltimore again in 2015 when I actually have a real bit of story people can read and latch onto. I may do one other con that year as well. I’ve heard a lot of good things about Hereos con so that would definitely be one I’d consider. I’m also keeping TCAF in mind.I do plan on attending Baltimore’s comic con and the Small Press Expo as a walker, so hopefully I’ll run into you at one of those and can show you some of what I’ve been working on.
So here’s Part I of that cover process post I mentioned earlier, sorry I’m a late with it. Since I’ve previously written about my coloring process I’m going to focus more on my sketching and thought process. I have a lot of trouble with covers. I’m not much of a designer, and good covers are done by people with good design skills so this was definitely a challenge. This is another long post. I’m putting a read more in here to make your feed more look betterer.
duh. Goku is a baby who, instead of crying all the time, is awesome at martial arts. All he likes to do is eat, sleep, and fight bad dudes. He’s good-natured, innocent, naive, and a voracious learner/ eater. All his evilness is manifested in a giant monkey he transforms into during the full moon, which is also awesome. As the story goes on he gets cooler and cooler, while still retaining his child-like charm. A super cool character you don’t see a lot of.
This completes my Dragonball Top Five Faves, up next- secondary TMNT characters
